July 2025 Member Spotlight: Michael Reed

Meet Michael Reed, Associate Director of Development for Ryan Companies and a member of the Young Professionals Forum Core Committee! He oversees a wide range of speculative and build-to-suit projects across Texas—guiding each one from concept through completion.

Michael’s passion for commercial real estate started 13 years ago with a simple love of creation. His commitment to growth and community is what led him to get involved in NTCAR where he stays sharp, builds relationships, and helps elevate the next generation of CRE leaders. Serving on the YPF Core Committee has been especially meaningful, giving him the chance to help shape events that connect, educate, and inspire.

Ask Michael what makes commercial real estate special, and he’ll tell you it’s the blend of vision, problem-solving, and tangible impact. Every deal demands creativity, resilience, and a knack for bringing diverse teams together. His advice to anyone just entering the field is to “learn every part of the deal and build strong, authentic relationships.”  Michael knows that long-term success in commercial real estate doesn’t come from cutting corners—it comes from mastering the details and investing in people.

Outside of work, Michael keeps life full. He spends most of his time with his family, but when he gets a break, you’ll probably find him writing fiction or working on his pool game. Whether he’s creating stories, lining up a shot, or driving a project forward, Michael’s always up for a challenge, and he brings his whole self to everything he does.  We are so proud to have Michael as a leader in our organization and can’t wait to see what he does next!
