June 2025 Member Spotlight: James Pratte

Meet James Pratte, a dynamic professional who brings energy, strategy, and heart to everything he does! As part of the business development team at Tri-Tex Construction, Inc., James focuses on strategic growth, working closely with executives, managers, subcontractors, and marketing professionals to uncover new business opportunities and strengthen brand presence in a competitive market.

 James got his start in commercial real estate through construction in 2012. From the beginning, he was drawn to the collaborative nature of the industry—working alongside brokers, architects, contractors, and consultants to bring a vision to life. That shared purpose and team spirit have kept him passionate ever since.

What James loves most about commercial real estate is the fast-paced environment and the ability to see tangible results. No two projects are the same, and each presents a unique challenge—a perfect match for someone who values problem-solving, learning, and dynamic collaboration. His advice for newcomers to the industry is simple but impactful: “Trust the process and find your unique way to add value.”

His involvement in NTCAR is a natural extension of his values. James sees the organization not just as a professional network, but as a true community that fosters authentic connections. He’s actively contributed through volunteer efforts, including serving on the Office Bus Tour Committee and supporting major events like the Stemmons Service Award and the annual Golf Tournament. For him, giving back is one of the most meaningful ways to connect with fellow members and support the industry as a whole.

Outside the office, James is a devoted husband and dad who spends much of his time cheering on his two sports-loving kids. Whether he’s shuttling between activities, teeing off on the golf course, or jumping into a coed rec league, James brings the same commitment and enthusiasm to his personal life as he does to his professional world.
