3-D scanning technology called LIDAR can be used to provide valuable building information to owners, purchasers and their brokers. LIDAR, in either mobile or static format, provides survey-grade information on current building conditions. Once deployed, the image data returned in the LIDAR scan is valuable for MEP inspection, virtual walk-thrus, roof condition, floor condition, parking lot/site conditions, ADA compliance, etc. Compiled LIDAR data is stored in a point cloud which can be shared by your architect, other contractors, potential developers, for as-builts or future renovation/expansion usage and planning.
